Vineyard: The fruit for this wine comes from our sustainably farmed Burgberg vineyard on breathtakingly steep slopes high above the Mosel River. These south west-facing slopes are covered in blue and brown slate with quartz deposits near the roots. This wine comes primarily from ungrafted, old vines up to 75 years old. Grape vines have been cultivated on this spot since the 17th Century.

Production Notes: The fruit for this wine is picked late in the season to allow for optimal ripeness. Botrytis (noble rot) is found on grapes during the second picking; every grape is hand sorted to allow only the best grapes to be crushed. The juice is fermented at cold temperatures; fermentation was developed spontaneously, with natural or wild yeast. The wine was aged sur lies for 10 months, then aged in 100% German oak barriques.

Das "M" steht für unsere spät im Herbst gelesenen Prädikatsweine - meist aus einer Lage. In 2011 aus unserer Steillage Burgberg. Die Trauben werden spät im Herbst handverlesen, um die Tiefe und Intensität von Geschmack und Süße zu garantieren. Der "M" ist ein kräuteriger Riesling mit delikater Süße und einem fruchtig animierten Finish. Das Bouquet umfasst blumige Noten, sowie gelben Apfel. Der Wein passt perferkt zu würzigen Speisen, kann aber auch als Aperitif gereicht werden. Zudem weist er ein hohes Alterungspotential auf. Uneingeschränkt bis 2022 zu genießen.
The "M" stands for our predicate wines, which are harvested late in autumn - mostly from one location. In 2015 from our steep slope Burgberg. The grapes are handpicked late in autumn to bring out the depth and intensity of flavor and sweetness. The "M" is a herbal Riesling with a delicate sweetness and a fruity, animated finish. The bouquet includes floral notes and yellow apple. The wine goes perfectly with spicy dishes, but can also be served as an aperitif.

The M is representative of our late harvest Prädikat wines, entirely from a single vineyard - this year a Kabinett from the Burgberg vineyard. The fruit is picked late in the season to ensure depth and intensity of flavor and sugar. The M is a herbaceous Riesling with a delicate sweetness and a fruity animated finish. The bouquet notes are floral, yellow apple, honeysuckle. This wine is excellent with spicy foods or as an aperitif wine. High potential for aging.
Das "M" steht für unsere Prädikatsweine aus dem späten Herbst, die gänzlich aus nur einem Weinberg gelesen werden. In diesem Jahr stammt der Kabinett aus der Steillage Burgberg. Die Trauben wurden spät gelesen, um die Tiefe und Intensität der Aromen und Süße zu garantieren. Der "M" ist ein konzentrierter Riesling mit Aromatik und reich an Süße, welche den Gaumen bedeckt und im Abgang einen fruchtigen Geschmack von Mandel und Sahne mit sich bringt. Das Bouquet reicht von Pfirsich über Basilikum bis hin zu Grapefruit.
